What are timers and intervals?
Timers within the Enso Clock are comprised of intervals--or sub-timers--that run sequentially. A standard countdown timer can be achieved by setting only 1 interval. Each timer can contain anywhere from 1 to 50 intervals. The chime will sound once at the end of each interval and again at the end of the timer. On the timer display you will see a read-out of the current interval ("Interval 1/1"). This says that you are looking at Interval #1 of 1 total Intervals. You can hold down the >> button to add a new interval, which would be 2/2. Repeatedly holding down the >> button will continue to append new intervals on the end of your existing timer. For each interval you can set the desired amount of time.
You can delete intervals by holding down the << button until you hear a beep. This will reduce the total number of intervals. The minimum number of total intervals is one.
You can review all the intervals within your timer by quickly pressing the >> or << buttons. Use the + or - buttons to add or subtract time from a given interval.
How do I store a timer in memory?
There are three memory banks for saving your timers (M1, M2, and M3). Each memory location is capable of storing up to a 50-interval timer. When you store a timer into memory it is like saving a snapshot of the current timer that is displayed on the screen. The entire timer (including all set intervals) is stored into the memory location. If you would like to use the memory to store timers it is important first to verify that the target memory location is available. Small numbers (1, 2, and 3) appear on the display just inside the Enso Ring next to the corresponding memory buttons to indicate a saved timer in the respective location. A memory is stored in an open location by holding down a memory button until you hear a beep. To erase the memory, hold down the memory button again until you hear a double beep. If you would like to save a timer into an occupied memory location, you must first erase the memory location since pressing the memory button will immediately recall the saved timer, replacing whatever timer you just set in the current timer.
What are the maximum and minimum lengths for an interval?
Intervals can be set in whole minute increments from a minimum of 1 minute to a maximum of many hours. Timers may be comprised of up to 50 separate intervals.
Some customers who desire to set intervals for less than a minute have told us that they use the Enso Ring that slowly appears around the screen to keep track of seconds. The Enso Ring is composed of 60 segments and will thus appear 1 per second during a 1-minute interval. This may allow you to keep track of seconds instead of minutes.
How can I set the timer to repeat a given interval?
While the Enso Clock cannot be set to automatically repeat a specific interval, customers have been able to achieve this desired mode of operation by programming multiple, sequential intervals that are each the same length of time. For example, if a repetitive 10-minute timer is desired, you may set Interval 1 to 10 minutes, Interval 2 to 10 minutes, Interval 3 to 10 minutes, etc.
How long is the alarm snooze?
Pressing the Snooze button while the alarm is sounding will temporarily silence the alarm and extend out the Alarm time by 9 minutes.
Can the audio chimes that play at the end of a timer or alarm be muted?
Yes, you may set the volume level of the clock to zero to mute the chimes. Press the Sound button, which is at the 8 o'clock position, to call up the Sound Setting mode. Use the - button to decrease the volume to zero. A small icon will appear at the bottom of the screen to indicate that the sounds are muted. This icon will remain on the screen while the volume is set to zero.
Does the Enso Clock have a backlight?
The Salubrion Enso Clock does have a backlight for viewing in dim lighting. The backlight is turned on by pressing the Enso Button (the button at the 3 o'clock position). Also, the backlight turns on automatically for a few seconds at the beginning and ending of a timer as well as when an alarm triggers.
The backlight cannot be kept on continuously during a timer or at any other time as this would quickly drain the batteries.
How long do the batteries last?
Battery life is greatly dependent on the way that you use your clock. The alarm/timer sounds and backlight use the most energy. We recommend that you can use rechargeable alkaline batteries in the clock such as those from Energizer. When the battery charge gets low, a low-battery icon will appear on the screen before the power is completely drained, giving you some time to replace the batteries before the clock stops.

    What people are saying

My two Enso Clocks were received safely in England. I am using mine to time my yoga practice and it is the most useful yoga/meditation timer I've ever come across. The second clock is a gift for my yoga teacher!
